ST3332 Management of Leisure and Aquatic Centres
Liverpool City Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Aquatic and Leisure Centre operator to manage its three (3) Aquatic and Leisure Centres including Whitlam Leisure Centre, Michael Wenden Aquatic Centre and Michael Clarke Recreation Centres. The Leisure Centre Manager is expected to support Council’s objectives in maximising participation in structures and unstructured sport and recreation activity through:
- Delivery of quality sport, fitness and recreation services and programs within the aquatic and leisure centres.
- Delivery recreation services and programs that support Councils gender equity target in sports participation.
- Delivery of recreation services and programs that meet the needs of targeted populations including First Nations people, people from CALD backgrounds, Seniors, people with a disability, people experiencing financial hardship.
- Utilisation and management of Councils fleet of three (3) community mini-buses.
- Effective management of the leisure centre asset including building fabric and plan and equipment.
- Management of all associated risks of leisure centre management.
- Ensuring that the leisure centres are operated with a minimal impact on the local and global environment.
- Supporting community groups and organisations in their delivery of programs to the community.
A non-mandatory site inspection/briefing will be held on Friday 10th May 2024 at the following times:
- Whitlam Leisure Centre – 10.00am
- Michaël Wended Aquatic Centre – 12.00pm
- Michael Clarke Recreation Centre – 2.00pm
