Fifteenth Ave, AustralCouncil is currently undertaking a comprehensive advocacy campaign including petition and community engagement which is aimed at securing funding to upgrade Fifteenth Ave and improve safety for pedestrians and commuters.

Improved access to mental health servicesCouncil has immediately called for the reinstatement of the 20 x Medicare funded psychology sessions.
Improved transport and connectivityCouncil has lobbied the NSW Government and the Opposition for an express service from Liverpool to Bankstown (via Cabramatta) to be established on the remainder of the T3 line when the Metro opens in 2024. Council has written to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Federal Treasurer Jim Chalmers and the Hon Catherine King MP, Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, to call for the reinstatement of $116 million toward the M7-M12 Interchange and $15 million toward the Western City Road Transport Network

Improved access to housingCouncil has petitioned the Commonwealth and State governments to strengthen their partnerships with Liverpool City Council to deliver resourcing for housing, economic and social infrastructure to support higher immigration numbers over the coming two years. Council has written to the NSW State Government to amend the State Environment Planning Policy to say that any affordable housing under a bonus remains affordable housing in perpetuity.

Road infrastructure and enforcementCouncil has written to the Minister to advocate to establish a traffic summit in Liverpool to address ongoing traffic concerns. Council has written to the State Government to support Ms Kauffman’s petition demanding consistency in sentences for serious road crimes; and promote on social media to raise awareness and tribute the life and the legacy of Alina Kauffman and Ernesto Salazar.
Infrastructure (Schools)Council has written to the Minister for Education and School Infrastructure NSW, to advocate for the retention of land to be acquired by School Infrastructure NSW for the purpose of constructing public schools in Austral.
